Jeffrey J. Eckardt, M.D.

Dr. Eckardt is Chair of the UCLA/Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology, and The Helga and Walter Oppenheimer Chair of Musculoskeletal Oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He served as a U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon and received National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals. Dr. Eckardt received his Bachelor's Degree from Williams College, a Medical Degree from Cornell University, completed his residency at UCLA School of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery, and completed a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He is known for his expertise in limb salvage surgery utilizing endoprosthesis reconstruction for bone and soft tissue sarcoma.
