James V. Luck, Jr., M.D.,
Dr. Luck is former President and CEO of Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital. He is Executive Vice-Chair, Professor and Program Director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Luck is Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board for Shriners Hospitals for Children and recently finished a term as a Director of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also chaired the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Review Committee, a national accreditation body. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hemophilia disorders, bone and soft tissue tumors and joint reconstructions. Dr. Luck has been actively involved with the Hemophilia Treatment Center and has performed more reconstructive surgeries on hemophilia patients than almost any other surgeon in the world. Dr. Luck was a resident in orthopaedic surgery at Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital and has continuously been associated with the institution since 1968.
