General Pediatric Orthopaedic Care
In its more than 100 years of service in Los Angeles County, over two million children have walked through the doors of Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC). Established in 1911, OIC is one of the most experienced pediatric orthopaedic programs, and with sixteen specialty clinics, we are one of the largest pediatric orthopaedic programs west of the Mississippi. We are also one of the busiest. Each year, our OIC team attends to over 55,000 patient visits, and conducts about XXXX surgeries.
OIC is a premier center for the care of children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, congenital, neuromuscular, and post traumatic problems of the musculoskeletal system.
OIC physicians treat conditions that may be present at birth, conditions that may develop over time as a child grows, or conditions that are a result of an accident or injury. Whether the orthopaedic condition is clubfoot, scoliosis, cerebral palsy, or a broken arm – all children receive the same unparalleled care provided by the doctors and staff at OIC.
The OIC faculty is made up of a team of six multidisciplinary pediatric orthopaedic surgeons who focus on the treatment, management, and rehabilitation of children with orthopaedic diseases, disorders and traumatic injuries.
As a not-for-profit facility, 80 cents of every dollar donated on average goes directly to the care of children here or through our International Children’s Program. OIC continues to fill two critical needs in our community: access and excellence. Not only is our care the most cutting-edge available, but, all children, regardless of their family’s financial circumstance, can walk through our doors – just like the more than two million children before them, and the thousands of children that will follow.
Our pediatric orthopaedic care includes:
- consultation and comprehensive evaluation
- surgical care: invasive and minimally invasive
- urgent care services
