Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) Outpatient Medical Center and its supporting programs offer a variety of job opportunities to support its mission. The clinical staff is dedicated to children's orthopedic treatment to improve the health and well-being of children, so they may return to functional and fullfilling childhood activities.

Other areas of interest include all the busy and enterprising departments of an active Medical Center, including an extremely well-regarded orthopedic Research Department, a thriving Physical Therapy Service, and an energetic Foundation.

Open Positions:

Full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, is available for a Special Services Billing Representative in our Patient Accounts department.  The candidate will be responsible for the billing and collections of California Children Services, the GHPP, and the AIA and ensures that all billing functions are submitted accurately and timely.  Reconciliation of insurance remittance advices and monitoring for proper authorizations are also expected as well as all related duties.  Previous experience with professional component billing is required and proficiency with Cerner PowerWorks software is preferred.

Full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, is open for a Cashier in our Patient Accounts department.  The cashier receives and deposits all checks, electronic payments and cash on a daily basis.  Posting of payments to outstanding accounts on a daily basis is also required, as well as providing daily cash collections reports and related duties.  At least one year of related experience is required.


Full-time position, Monday through Friday is available for a CA licensed Nurse Practitioner.  The Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the care of pediatric orthopedic surgery pre and post-op and provide patient/family education. Major functions include developing and implementing discharge plans in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting in OR and collaborating with team. Required are Masters Degree in nursing, CA state RN and NP licenses and national certification, BCLS certification and at least one year’s experience.
