Mauricio Silva, M.D.
Dr. Mauricio Silva is the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) and Medical Director of the Urgent Care Center at OIC. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Orthopaedic Institute for Children/UCLA Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA. He joined OIC in 1999, became Associate Medical Director in July 2005, and Medical Director in January 2014. He provides specialized orthopaedic care for pediatric patients at the OIC downtown Los Angeles campus, the Reene and Meyer Luskin Children's Clinic in Santa Monica, and the Valley Orthopaedic Clinic in Calexico, CA. He also provides specialized orthopaedic care for pediatric and adult patients with musculoskeletal complications due to hemophilia and other bleeding disorders at the Orthopaedic Hemophilia Treatment Center (OHTC), located at the downtown Los Angeles campus. Dr. Silva received his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at OIC in Los Angeles.
