About this Video

Chris Roper is President of the League-Caring for Children with Orthopedic Needs, a support group of Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital. This year, the League made a very important gift to the Hospital in honor of the Centennial year. To help celebrate the League's own special anniversary, its 75th - League members chose to make a gift of professional quality video and editing equipment in order to capture personal testimonials from patients and volunteers.

Recently, the League gifted money to enhance the overall experience of patients at our Urgent Care including increasing patient privacy through the purchase of specialized hush curtains as well as providing child friendly entertainment with the purchase of over the bed drawing tables. Additionally, the League gifted the cost of production for a professional quality video about the Hospital that will be shown during the Centennial Celebration Dinner on November 4, 2011.

Accordingly, it is especially exciting to showcase this video with longtime volunteer Chris Roper as she describes why she feels, "proud, privileged and honored" to be apart of LAOH.

Volunteers embody the humanitarian spirit of Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital. These caring individuals, many of whom belong to support groups, take on the mission of the Hospital as their own and have given time, talent and many financial contributions over the 100 year history.
